Special Edition

Whoop!!
Hey guys, hope you're all having a great weekend? Today's post is quite different as we're featuring men! :)
Let me explain. On my way to church today, i severally had the intuition to take along my camera, but i kept dismissing the thought simply because my arms are honestly getting muscular from the heavy weight of my bag, i didn't need additional weight today. on getting to church, during the "brothers and sisters, go around, shake and welcome everyone" time (if you go to a black church, you will probably understand what i mean better..Lool) an uncle walked up to me to explain how he had come across my blog, he encouraged me and said chike was looking good, i should probably let him model his outfit for my blog.
Yikes!! good idea, i jumped at the opportunity, and decided to take his pictures along with Femi's after the service. Chike's suit was well fitted, perfect to be precise and  he looked rather dapper and i thought Femi was on trend with his all white outfit especially how effortlessly he pulled off the casual cool look. The down part? i hadn't brought my camera, so i had to use my I Phone. The pictures honestly do no justice atall to how good they both looked, and worse even, it's not a particularly picturesque surrounding. But i promise to endure the weight of my camera next time just to bring you better pictures :)  who's checking out my muscles anyways? ;)

P.s - Moral of the story -Always follow your intuitions, more than half the time God is probably using them to lead you.

Meet-up with 'Britpopprincess'

Whoop!! this is one happy post :). As most of you already know, if you don't, you should be following me on Instagram. I'm 'tosinakande' on instagram :). I met Patricia Bright aka britpopprincess of Youtube or the 'moments of style' blogger  in Selfridges on Friday. I was 2 hours 30 mins from London when i found out she was having a meet-up there. Probably one of the craziest things I've done yet, without thinking of the financial costs, risks etc, i went all out, left all i had to do, traveled all the way to London to see her. But no regrets atall, because it was definitely worthwhile. I got to talk to her, even about my blog etc, and she really encouraged and motivated me. Of course, there was a massive crowd around her, people trying to take pictures here and there, but i was fine. She's even more beautiful and awesome in reality. Through all the encouragements, talking to people, her beautiful personality shone through. Omg guys, like no lies, i think i stood for like 10-15 mins just watching her. I'm not even being dramatic here, I've consistently watched her for close to 3 and a half years and I've admired her fashion sense, her drive and everything about her,and she's got so much going for her now. Seeing her,her husband and sister was just amazing to say the least. Okay, i won't bore you guys any further with long tales, but make sure to follow her blog, youtube etc, but i'm guessing most of you already do. Below are the pictures of my outfit and a picture i took with her. How can i forget to mention that she made a video for me..whoooooop!!!! and she said i'm gorgeous. I've played that video everyday since then..Lool and no, i'm not some obsessed freak.
Enjoy! :)

When we plan, God laughs.

We all regularly make plans for our lives. We often draft out how we expect God to run our lives. E.g by 22, i should have met the right spouse, by 25, be working in a top  law firm, by 30 married with all my kids and made my first million. etc.
But you see, as we grow older, we find that plans change, situations change, needs and wants become different and we as people don't stay the same. Few years later and we are living a totally different plan from what we drafted.
The fundamental, yet bitter truth is that there is a much higher calling for our lives, beyond our own plans, desires, wants. And the earlier we discover and start living God's plans, the wiser.
We will not always know what we need/want or even what is right for us, In fact, what we think is good for us might not necessarily be God's best for us. Isaiah 55:9, remember God's ways & thoughts are higher than ours, and he is constantly working the best for us even when we don't see it now. Jeremiah 29:11.
We more often than not get discouraged when things don't work out as planned, or when things take a completely different turn than expected. But you see, discouragement is the last thing to allow to settle, simply because it is okay for plans to fail. yes, to fail that driving test, to fail that interview, that exam, or even in that relationship. It doesn't not make one an automatic failure in life. Show me a man that has never failed at anything, and i will point out a man that has either never tried anything or a liar.
What's more important than the tears of failure is picking up the pieces and submitting to God's plan & will. Even when the past calls, let it go to voice mail, believe me when i say it has nothing new to say.
Most Importantly, in everything let's learn to give thanks, abandon our own written plans, yield to God's will and ultimate plan, even if we fail, we know it's all part of the learning process. Let's give in our best, and not be afraid to thread his path for our lives, who knows? the path seemingly lonely/we're dreading to thread might be God's laid out path to our successes.

Be challenged today, Pray, Take that risk, Dare to trust God, Thread that path. Don't be afraid to fail, And make sure you're not giving up!

God Inspired.
